  • Players have been asking for specific skins for each of the game’s major regions, as it would enhance immersion in the main storyline.
  • Some fans debate which region inspired the last outfit, but most agree that it belongs to the Anemo nation due to its resemblance to Venti’s color theme.

A Genshin Impact fan has created an impressive outfit concept for one of the two main characters, Aether. Developer HoYoverse has introduced a pattern of adding four new skins per year, two for five-star characters and two for four-star units. The outfits four their lower-rarity characters are usually obtainable for free for the duration of one update.

At the start of their Genshin Impact journey, the siblings Aether and Lumine are fighting against the Unknown God also known as the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles. During one of the cutscenes, players are required to choose between these two characters to become their Traveler whose main quest is to find their lost sibling.

A Reddit user by the name pinnko has shared an impressive skin concept based on the game’s different regions for the game’s male Traveler, Aether. The four skins represent the following major regions: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru. Many fans seem to like the skins as the post reached almost 1k upvotes on Genshin Impact‘s main subreddit with multiple comments praising the attention to detail. Even though players seem to like all the skin, many claim that the second one inspired by the Inazuma region stands out. It’s very reminiscent of the traditional outfits that can be found all over the Inazuma region. The skin even features the Mask of Memories on the character’s head which is an item that is rewarded to players after completing the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual.

The Reddtor pinnko did not clarify which outfit is inspired by what region which is why many fans debate if the last outfit is actually based on Mondstadt or the recently released Fontaine region. The majority seems to agree that since the outfit features Venti’s color theme, it probably belongs to the Anemo nation.

For a very long time, players have been asking HoYoverse to introduce specific skins that would be used in each of the seven major regions. Genshin Impact has a compelling main storyline and seeing Aether or Lumine wearing a different outfit whenever they are in an Archon Quest cutscene could improve the overall immersion effect.

Many comments claim that excluding the first couple of weeks of their playing time, they haven’t used the Traveler in any of their tea composition. Even though Aether and Lumine are technically considered five-star units, their on-field potential cannot match most of the current meta characters in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
