Fezandipiti in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC is one of the new Legendary Pokémon added to the Generation 9 games with the first part of the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion pack. The bird-like creature is a member of the Legendary group called the Loyal Three, which is exclusive to the region of Kitakami. Along with it are Munkidori and Okidogi. To complete the Kitakami Pokédex in Pokémon Teal Mask, you will need to catch all three members of this group, along with hundreds of other creatures.
Like all members of the Loyal Three, Fezandipiti’s first element is Poison-type. Its second is Fairy-type, making Fezandipiti the holder of an unusual typing combination that it only shares with Galarian Weezing. To reflect its Poison-type specialty, Fezandipiti’s main Ability is Toxic Chain, which is also shared with the rest of the Loyal Three. This Ability enables the user to have a high chance of inflicting badly poisoned on an opponent it hits. Before catching this great Pokémon in Scarlet in Violet: Teal Mask, however, you need to complete a few steps.
How To Unlock Catchable Fezandipiti In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Teal Mask
In order to unlock the encounter with Fezandipiti where you will be able to catch it, you must first beat Teal Mask in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This will see you go on a long adventure across the region of Kitakami and solve the mysteries involving the local folklore.
During the campaign, you will chase down and face Fezandipiti as a Titan Pokémon but will be unable to capture it at the moment. This means you can safely deplete its entire HP pool in the first battle without being concerned about losing the catch.
Where To Find (& Catch) Fezandipiti In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Teal Mask
Once the main story of the Teal Mask DLC is completed, you will be able to finally catch Fezandipiti for yourself. To do this, you will need to return to the exact location where you fought it the first time. This place is a small ledge on the eastern portion of Oni Mountain, slightly northwest of Kitakami Hall.
This place can be seen on the in-game map as a small and brighter beige area contrasted with Oni Mountain’s brown coloring. As soon as you interact with Fezandipiti, you will trigger the fight with the Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet.
It is recommended to save the game before initiating the fight. This will give you an easy return point in case you need to hard reset the game, should Fezandipiti be knocked out, or if you run out of Poké Balls for the catch.
Unlike the other Loyal Three members, Fezandipiti is not focused on dealing damage, but sustaining it with its high Special Defense stat. Combined with its Toxic Chain Ability in the Teal Mask DLC, this is a slow-burn battle that may take a while to complete.
You should focus on depleting as much HP as you can without knocking it out and, if possible, applying a harmless status effect like Paralyze or Sleep. All of this will increase your odds of catching Fezandipiti in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
