Corphish is a cute little crab in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It is a water type with a 50% chance of being male or female. The Teal Mask, which is the first part of the DLC for the game, has brought Corphish and its evolution to the game, meaning players can set out now and catch one by the waters in Kitakami.
While this Pokemon might not be the most popular, it is still a choice that many will want to grab so they can evolve it into Crawdaunt – which is Water and Dark type. Here is how to get Corphish and evolve it in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Corphish in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Corphish is a fairly easy Pokemon to get as long as players search the correct spawn areas in Kitakami. Players will want to check a total of four different locations for this Pokemon, all being close to water. Below is a list of the locations to travel to for the Corphish.
- Kitakami Road
- Reveler’s Road
- Mossfell Confluence
- Fellhorn Gorge
The crab Pokemon will be found wandering around next to the water or even swimming around in it; not often will it be found in grass or other areas at all. After catching Corphish, players can move right into evolving it.
How to Evolve Corphish into Crawdaunt
Players will simply only need to get Corphish to level 30 to have it evolve. This is especially easy if a player ends up with a level 20 or higher Corphish in the wild.
The fastest way to level up Corphish after catching is by battling in raid battles and giving the Pokemon the special candy. After giving it some of the bigger-sized candies, players will have their Crawdaunt in less than an hour if they didn’t already have a collection of candies ready to go.
Some Pokemon are a lot harder to level up in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but trainers are lucky that Corphish is one of the easier ones to get and evolve versus ones like Gengar, where their Haunter needs to be traded before it can evolve.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available now on Nintendo Switch.
