A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about Furina’s overall power on the field. Also known as the God of Wisdom, this unique character plays the role of one of the seven Archons, and she was introduced in the ongoing version 4.0 alongside many other Fontaine characters.

So far, each of the four Archons that appeared in Genshin Impact‘s main storyline ended up joining the playable roster a couple of weeks or months after. Recent livestream events have confirmed that she won’t become playable in the next update which is reserved for the arrival of two new catalyst users, Wriothesley and Neuvillette.

Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more details about Furina’s kit and her overall power on the battlefield. According to previous leaks, her kit will rely on a stacking system that is tied to her HP which is common for Hydro users in Genshin Impact. The new rumors claim that in order to make Furina viable, players will need to accompany her with a team healer since one of her skills will drain the HP from the whole team composition. The fact that she reduces HP means that Furina will not have great synergy with the popular Pyro DPS Hu Tao who gets various buffs if her HP is below 50%.

Pairing the Hydro Archon with Hu Tao could make it difficult to keep track of the Pyro user’s HP, especially when fitting larger groups of enemies. The leaker claims that at the moment, the Dendro user Baizhu seems like the best healer to pair with the Hydro Archon since he can provide tons of healing to the two whole team composition.

Furina’s Elemental Skill will allow her to place a small animal-like gadget that will be the main source of her damage once she leaves the field. This creature provides different buffs depending on the type of attacks the active character is using, similar to Nahida’s Illusory Heart. Just like the four previously released Archons, Furina will probably be a very flexible character who can fit many types of team compositions in Genshin Impact.

So far she’s been portrayed as a very theatrical character who lives for the thrill of the courtroom. When it comes to her exact release date, rumors claim that she could arrive during Genshin Impact version 4.2 which, going by HoYoverse’s usual update schedule should drop in the first half of November.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
