Pokemon GO has many different types of Pokemon, just as any of the franchise games do. Grubbin is one of the many Bug-types available for players to catch. This Pokemon is a bit of an underrated one, but its final evolution Vikavolt, a Bug/Electric-type, is one that trainers will like to get their hands on.
Vikavolt evolves from Charjabug, which is the second evolution of Grubbin. However, some players might wonder if Grubbin has a Shiny variant which they can hunt for in Pokemon GO.
Does Grubbin Have a Shiny Variant In Pokemon GO?
Grubbin does have a Shiny variant that Pokemon GO players can catch. Instead of its normal yellow and light orange style, Shiny Grubbin has a peach and red color, so it is easy to tell that it is indeed a Shiny. An easy way to find the Shiny variant of this Pokemon is by joining in during its Community Day or during a time that it is more likely to spawn.
Trainers can help spawn a Grubbin by using “Bug Out!” which can happen during certain events. To help increase their chances, players should be sure to start using a Daily Incense while they are out walking. This can increase the chances of getting Grubbins to spawn, especially a Shiny one.
How To Evolve Grubbin into Vikavolt
Evolving Grubbin to Charajabug is fairly simple. Players will just need 25 candies to evolve the Pokemon for the first time. However, the second will require a bit more. Be sure while catching Grubbins to use some Pinap Berries. When fed to Pokemon, these berries ensure they provide more candies once caught.
To evolve Grubbin into Vikavolt, trainers will need 100 candies and use a Magnetic Lure Module, which requires them to be close to a Poke Shop. If a player isn’t very active, they might want to trade their Grubbin trusted friend and allow them to evolve it. However, they will be using their own candies in order to evolve it themselves. The Shiny variant of this Pokemon can be evolved and leveled up the exact same way as its normal counterpart.
