Lionsgate is celebrating Twilight’s 15th year anniversary in style with the launch of The Twilight Saga: The Complete Collection – 15th Anniversary Steelbook 4K Ultra HD. The franchise will also get a screening at Los Feliz Theater in Los Angeles on November 15 at 7:00pm, which will be followed by a Q&A with director Catherine Hardwicke, the studio has announced. Based on Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling novels, the Twilight movies saw a fanfare unlike any other in the 2000s. The movies catapulted Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner to stardom and cemented their careers.
This special anniversary collection comes with four art cards and seven pieces of interchangeable cover art. It includes all five movies with over twelve hours of special features covering the director’s commentary from each film, cast and crew interviews, webcast events, red carpet interviews, and more. The Steelbook makes a valuable addition to any fan’s collection.
The Twilight franchise took fans into the mystical world of vampires, and werewolves living among humans. Audiences had front row seats as a love story between a vampire Edward (Pattinson), and a human Bella (Stewart) unfolded, leading to their worlds colliding as Bella wanted to become a vampire and Edward wanted to protect her soul. The franchise was adapted for the big screen with screenplays by Melissa Rosenberg (all five films). The film series was directed by Hardwicke (Twilight), Chris Weitz (The Twilight Saga: New Moon), David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), and Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 & 2).
The ‘Twilight Franchise’ Was a Box Office Phenomenon
Overall, the franchise grossed over $3.4 billion at the worldwide box office. While the franchise received mixed critical reviews, fans rallied behind the films nonetheless, with steadily growing theatrical revenue with each film. The movie franchise cast many familiar faces including Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Ashley Greene as Alice, Kellan Lutz as Emmett, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, along with Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Gil Birmingham, Anna Kendrick, and many more. The movie has had such a massive impact on pop culture, and its popularity has compelled a reboot of the franchose as a TV series for a new audience. The announcement was made in April earlier this year, while no cast or talents are attached yet.
The Twilight Saga: The Complete Collection – 15th Anniversary SteelBook is available to purchase for $79.99 and you can order here. The complete movie series is available on Prime Video to stream.
