During a particular encounter within one of the Van der Linde gang’s campsites, a Red Dead Redemption 2 player witnesses Micah Bell kicking the gang’s adopted dog, Cain. The interaction is brief, though it exemplifies the antagonistic qualities that are harbored within Micah Bell in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The Van der Linde gang in the Red Dead Redemption series is filled with characters that the player can interact with. As the Van der Linde gang continuously moved across a few states of the United States in 1899, players got to learn more about their fellow gang members. One such member was Micah Bell, a notorious member of the Van der Linde gang who appears throughout the Red Dead Redemption 2 narrative. As the story progresses with Arthur Morgan, Micah Bell becomes increasingly villainous, acting in horrific ways that make him stand out from the rest of the outlaws in the game. As such, a player had managed to catch Micah in the middle of a vicious act.
During the Clemens Point Chapter in Red Dead Redemption 2, the Van der Linde gang encounters a dog after it wanders into camp. After seeing how much Jack Marston admires the canine, Dutch Van der Linde welcomes the dog onto the crew, who also names it Cain. While there are no objections once Cain becomes a part of the gang, Micah Bell isn’t quite fond of the dog. To show his disdain, Micah approaches a resting Cain and kicks it awake. He then calls the dog a “parasite.” Reddit user pmetwi captured this moment with a quick 6-second clip, claiming that this was the first time they witnessed the interaction between Micah and Cain.
Years after its initial launch on October 26, 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 players have been making newer discoveries that concern the game’s massive open world. Such discoveries can always come in the form of action and dialogue, as seen above with Micah Bell’s behavior. It’s not necessarily a secret per se, yet it’s a scene that can easily be missed due to the incredible amount of content that can be discovered with the characters in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption players are quite familiar with Micah’s antics and vicious attitude, and pmetwi’s footage further proves just how vicious the character can be. The character is one of the main reasons for the downfall of the Van der Linde gang in the Red Dead series, and to witness him kick a dog is enough to make any gamer’s blood boil. Furthermore, it makes the epilogue all the more satisfying, as players can get a better idea of what kind of monster Micah Bell is in Red Dead Redemption 2.
