Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty contains a well-hidden Easter egg that references Big Smoke’s hilarious fast food order from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The throwback was just discovered by one eagle-eyed fan, with this development hence expanding the list of known Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Easter eggs.

Warning! Minor early story spoiler for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty ahead.Shortly after getting to the new DLC location, Dogtown, Cyberpunk 2077 players will have to make contact with Solomon Reed, a veteran FIA agent played by Idris Elba. The task, which occurs in the middle of Phantom Liberty’s Lucretia My Reflection quest, eventually sees V call Reed via an ancient landline located in a derelict restaurant. Their ensuing exchange is presented in the form of a cutscene that only lasts a few seconds.

The scene kicks off on a lighthearted note that stands in stark contrast to the overall grim story of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, as Keanu Reeves’s Johnny Silverhand has to use an exaggerated hand gesture to explain how a traditional telephone works to a clearly confused V. But it turns out that’s not the only humorous aspect of this cutscene, with Reddit user Hykr just realizing that the phone itself contains a clever San Andreas throwback. Specifically, the entirety of Big Smoke’s elaborate fast food order from the classic GTA game is written out on the body of the device.

The original line that starts with Big Smoke ordering “two number 9s” and “a number 9 large” has long been considered as one of the best GTA: San Andreas quotes, and has attained meme status shortly following the game’s 2004 release. The never-ending order even elicits a reaction from the in-game cast, with CJ, Ryder, and Sweet all turning toward Big Smoke in disbelief after he is finally finished listing everything he intends to eat.

I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.

The discovery of this well-hidden Easter egg helps underline the impressive attention to detail that CD Projekt Red poured into its first and sole expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. The fandom previously came across a number of other throwbacks to various works throughout Dogtown, many of which reference CDPR’s own projects such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Coincidentally, Big Smoke’s written order isn’t the only Easter egg connected to the yellow telephone featured in the Lucretia My Reflection quest; dialing 911 on the device will prompt a unique interaction with Johnny, while 6175556277 triggers a playback of Never Fade Away, one of his Samurai band’s best-known songs. Players can also hear a rendition of the main The Witcher theme by dialing 5745552377.
